Our main worship centre is St Paul’s Catholic Church, built in the late 1800s, located on Penola Road in the heart of Mount Gambier.
We are a welcoming community, that respects our past and looks to our future with hopes to bring the love of Christ to everyone in our community.
We’re located in the Limestone Coast region, where Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop, started her work with Father Julian Tenison Woods in founding Catholic education.
Tenison Woods College is our parish school, brought about by the merger of St Paul’s Primary School and Tenison College - Visit the college’s website.
This continues a tradition of Catholic Education in South East South Australia, started in the 1880 by the Sisters of Mercy through Mater Christi College and the Marist Brothers Agricultural College.
St Paul’s Hall, located next door to St Paul’s Church is a place for our community to gather for social events and meetings, also where we host our Monday school for family focused, parish-based sacrament preparation classes.
St Augustine’s Church is our parish church in the town of Port MacDonnell.
Mount Gambier Parish is proud of its connection with the parishes of Millicent, Penola, Naracoorte and Bordertown, which make up the South East Deanery.
